Our hygiene department is operated by Autumn and she is awesome.
Autumn will search out and remove anything that doesn't belong on your teeth. She does this for children and adults. She is both gentle and meticulous. And both are rare.
Your radiographs will be taken from the best technology available. This allows Autumn and Dr. Farley to evaluate your oral health with confidence. And will help facilitate treatment planning necessary to give you the best oral health possible.
When Autumn is through making your teeth shine, she will relay to Dr. Farley your concerns and questions. And then she will discuss with her issues and potential problem areas she discovered while do the prophy.
During the exam, Dr. Farley will call out numbers and technical terms that may sound intimidating while Autumn or an assistant will be transcribing. They're just showing off. They're really just discussing what needs to be done to make your smile both pain free and sexy.
If you have periodontal disease Autumn and Dr. Farley will assess the extent of your problem and they will provide treatment to help get you on a course leading to better oral health.
We offer an array of services to help make your smile shine. We do both in-house and take home whitening. Dr. Farley also does Botox and filler to help fill in those pesky lines and wrinkles that we all get the displeasure of harvesting.

Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. Clean between your teeth twice daily using floss and/or interdental brushes.
As a general rule, dental cleanings are recommended every 6 months. This rule varies depending on the condition of your teeth. Patients with braces or that have periodontal disease are recommended to have a cleaning every 3 months.
A serious gum infection that damages gums and can destroy the jawbone (and the bone that holds your teeth). It leads to tooth loss and is a risk factor for heart and lung diseases. Diabetes plays a role in this disease as well. So, yearly blood work is recommended. Scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) may be needed to prevent the disease from worsening. It will be a lifetime of maintaining this disease to save as many teeth as possible for your lifetime.
Eat a healthy, balanced diet and limit added sugar intake. Also, come in for your regular hygiene visits so that we can provide fluoride treatment and other preventative measures.
Angle the bristles toward the gum line to prevent gingivitis or periodontal disease. Brush gently in a circular motion focusing on ONE tooth at a time. Brush all sides of your teeth and tongue.
Use an arms length of floss and wrap it around the middle finger of each hand. Grip the floss between the thumb and index finger of each hand. Ease the floss gently between the teeth until it reaches the gum. If you see blood, floss more.
Floss piks are a small tool that holds the floss so you don't have to wrap it around your fingers. Be sure to rinse or wipe off the floss after each tooth so that the bacteria isn't transferred to the next tooth. Water flossers and interdental brushes are great tools as well.
